Hi all;

While I'm glad to find out that this BSOD error isn't uncommon, I can't seem
to find any posts relating to my situation:

I'm upgrading to Windows XP Pro (SP2 Volume license edition) from NT 4
Workstation. These are all domain machines ranging from PII 350mhz to PIII
866Mhz. The error occurs after the initial setup files have been copied to
the machine, and it's in the first stage of the GUI setup (about 80% of the
way through).

And the annoying part is that it only happens on one machine, but none of
the others that have been upgraded (all computers have identical
hardware/software installed).

Any ideas? I've tried re-ghosting the drive before attempting the install,
and even ran chkdsk on the drive, but to no avail.

Thanks in advance for your help ;)

HI:

I read through the article, but none of it seemed to do any good. All the
hardware is on the HCL (two other pc's with the exact same hardware are now
running XP without problems), the machines exceed the requirements for XP
Pro, and I can't go through a recovery process, because it doesn't complete
the upgrade.

Thanks for the input though ;)

Any more ideas anyone?
