When I turn off the PC, before it shuts down, I get this message on a blue
screen with a warning about turning off the PC before something does damage.
I have to press the power button to turn off at that point.

I have found some info to fix this and turned off the DEP and also turned
off the File Indexing....rebooted..... but the problem still exists.

Any thoughts on how to fix?

Thank you

Hi,

It has nothing to do with DEP or file indexing, a BAD_POOL_HEADER error is a
driver issue. Something is not terminating properly, but it may be difficult
to resolve. As there is a STOP error, does it mention if a dump file is
created? If so, we might be able to decipher what is causing it. Otherwise,
it may take some trial and error in updating various hardware drivers.

uninstall the Realtk High definitions Audio sound and reinstall it again, it
may corrupt or damaged.
Also try to look for updates for the driver and the motherboard.

hi were can i find the updates for motherbored im not sure of the exact
name thx

1. If your computer is a major brand name (HP, Compaq, Dell, Toshiba,
etc.) then they make their own motherboards and you need to their web
site and check for motherboard drivers for your exact model number.

2. If your computer is a "no name" machine or from a smaller
manufacturer then the invoice or other purchase documents should
identify the make and model of the major components, including the
motherboard.

3. Download a system information utility, such as Everest from
http://lavalys.com or AIDA32 from
http://www.aumha.org/downloads/aida32.zip and run that to identify the
make and model of your motherboard.

4. Open the computer case and scan the surface carefully for a
manufacturer's logo and model number. There is no standard location
for where these are placed on the motherboard.

Good luck
