got the blue screen of death :(

Gave the following info

BAD_POOL_CALLER

STOP: 0X000000C2 (0X00000007, 0X00000CD4, 0X024C0001,
0XFDAAD338)

i've looked at forums and MS website for info, but what i
found was stuff on debuging and to be honest it looks way
outta my league. is there anything i can do to stop this
or get more info if it happens again, its a fairly new
computer, well 3 months old.
i suppose i can take it back to the store bit they'll
probally charge me £45 just to take it there.

well anyway, if you can advise me on this, cool.
If you need info on what spec the machine is then i'll
give you all i can.
Thanks in advance

As MS KB article 314492 states, the "Stop 0xC2 error
message indicates that a kernel-mode process or driver
incorrectly attempted to perform a memory operation. This
error message is typically caused by a faulty device
driver or software."

Several links point to a video card driver as the most
common culprit. Check that all hardware and drivers on
your system are XP compatible. On the XP installation
diskette is even a tool to determine if your system and
drivers are XP compatible. In most cases of BSOD on XP,
the hardware or drivers were never written/qualified for
XP.
