Bad Printing in Avery DesignPro

I cannot use Avery DesignPro to print mini-sheet labels on my HP laserjet
1200 because there is no printer feed setting. Unlike the old LabelPro, it
assumes the printer is "edge-feed" and there is no way to set "center-feed".
Avery phone support told me this is intentional design and not a bug. She
said I should contact HP and find out how to set a custom paper-width of 4
1/2 x 10 inches.

This is just abusive. I am looking for label making software from some other
company.

I'm not sure how it's done, but at work the folks use MS Word! ((Hand over
head, ducking and running). I know it isn't freeware, but if you already have it...
why not use it? Also they do envelope addresses and just put the envelopes
in the printer and press print. If I find out (I'm off work this week) I'll send you
a note. Maybe someone else uses Word to do that?

Open Office will do that as well, just to bring it back to Freeware.
