bad pool caller

Got the Bad pool caller message because windows was shut
down by removing power. Now I can get pass the message
above even when I try to re-install windows, This is an
Xp athlon system. Any help to by -pass this message. I
suspect is coming from the USB driver but not sure. Can I
disable from loading the bad driver ? any help ??? thanks

boot to XP CD and goto recovery console and run chkdsk /r
first
It will probably find errors to fix.
