On a Toshiba M35 laptop with Windows XP Pro SP2, on every boot comes the boot
option screen, but regardless of the choice they all end up with the Bad
Pooler Caller message and the machine stops. I have tried the Recovery
Console to no avail and have even tried to reinstall the OS...again to no
avail as both options end up with the Bad Pool Caller stop message. The
laptop holds all the information of its owner who runs his business from it.
I am trying to do him a favor and recovering the system, but I am at a loss
as to what to do next. I do not want to fdisk, reformat as he will lose
everything, but I am running out of options. If anyone can offer any
suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.
