Backweb is a method of contacting (calling home) to a software/hardware
vendor often used to inform you of updates for certain applications/drivers.
Is it an old HP computer or what application is causing this behavior? The
way to stop it is to disable the Backweb application from running
automatically. But before you disable it please try to find out which
application is using it. Many people consider it to be a spyware security
risk but it is more often a "legitimate" update mechanism.
To completely remove it, go to Add/Remove Programs and look for "Backweb"
and remove it. If you figure out which application(s) is using it go to the
website and look for references to it. It might require updating or repair
in case you want to keep it installed on your system.
Good luck in figuring this out. Did you install anything new lately? That
might be the cause of this recently started error.
