Hello,

How could I make a backup of the Outlool Express messages and configuration
(including folders) software I use in two places and would like very much to
transfer the files between them please? Thank you very much indeed.

Sincerely yours,

Andre...
You may be interested in a program called ABF Outlook Express Backup that's
designed specifically for OE backup purposes, including messages, OE
settings, Address Book, Rules, etc. The program also has an option to back
up your Favorites as well. I've been using various versions of it for nearly
a year now and
find it a most useful program, especially as they relate your specific need,
i.e., transferring the contents of your OE program to another computer.
While there are "freebie", or near-freebie programs available for backing up
OE (as well as manual procedures to backup OE) which I'm sure you will hear
about from other responders to your query, the simplicity, ease of
operation, and effectiveness in what it does make that ABF program very
appealing to me. Take a look at it at:
http://www.abf-soft.com/outlook-express-backup.shtml. They do have a demo
version available and although it's a crippled version, it will give you a
good idea of how the program works.

The cost of the program is $29.95 (download - $10 extra for the CD). I've
found the program well worth its cost.

I might mention that there is one potential negative to the program (aside
from its cost, of course!) that may or may not be important to you. When you
restore the OE data that the ABF program has backed up, as described above,
to a different computer, it will delete the OE data contents in the
destination computer. So if you wanted to retain some or all OE messages on
that destination computer, you would have to copy them and later restore
them following the transfer.
