Backup

My backup utility defaults to the A-drive 3 1/2 floppy Drive and the process
works. However, due to amount of data I want to backup to my E-drive (CD).
When I attempt this, I get the following message:

The backup file name could not be used:
"E\backup.bkf"
Please ensure it is a valid path, and that you have sufficient access.

Any suggestion as to how overcome this problem?

if you are trying to use ntbackup it doesn't support writing directly to the
cd drive.

you can write the backup file to a hard drive directory and the copy it to a
cd or DVD afterwards. if it's to big for a single disk you could split it
with hjsplit. the down side is you need lots of disk space and time to
spare.

I've splashed out on an external drive and Norton ghost to solve a similar
problem.

Hope this helps
