Backup Utility for Outlook 2000

I want to download the Outlook backup utility for my copy of Office
2000. Although a KB article says it is compatible I can not download
it from the MS site as it will not validate Office 2000 (it will only
validate Office 2003). Is there any way that I can get it?

Can you post the KB article for reference - the Outlook Personal Folders Backup tool I am aware of works with Outlook 2002 and 2003, I do not show 2000 listed.

Hi Francine,

Microsoft have made things a little confusing. The Microsoft webpage:

states that the add-in applies to Outlook 2000, 2002 and 2003 (see page
bottom) but when you link to the download page it states that it applies to
only 'Outlook 2002 and later versions'

I agree that is very odd but I am not sure what the answer is for you at this point. I do know that Outlook 2000 is a few versions back but I do not know if that is the factor.

Hopefully someone else will respond as well.
