Veritas software can be scheduled and works with CDRW media.

what about DVD-RW? Isn't 600meg a little shallow?

Norton Ghost allow backup to CDRW with a image.
Also other softwares include Powerquest Drive Image etc...

NTI makes a good program called Backup Now! that is easy and works with CD-RW and Most DVD-RW drives
