Backup to CD-RW disk

Is it possible with Win XP Pro to backup your system
to formatted CD-RW disks. Will XP Pro allow me to use
multiple disks for a backup or does this require third-
party software?

Spanning is not possible using the built-in XP CD burn
tool. You'll need Ahead Nero or Easy CD Creator, etc.

You can backup to CD-RW disks formatted for packet writing, but XP backup
does not span disks. You will need to keep the backup files under the CD's
max capacity. Other third party backup applications have the ability to span
disks.
