backup problems

when trying to backup my computer I get a message stating "backup file name
cannot be used D:\1.bkf please be sure it is a valid path and that you have
sufficiant access" I do not know what to do next. I am running xp
professional and do not have a password for administrator assigned. Thank
you in advance.
