BackUp Favorites

I am unable to backup my internet favorites file either by dragging, clicking
and sending to CD drive or by exporting from IE. I get the error message
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close or cannot
export favorites. Any ideas what the problem is? Thank you.

Did you try File | Import and Export in IE?
 
Yes, that didn't work either. After going through the wizard I get the can't
export message.
 
I was unaware of either of these groups, and I appreciate the links to them.
There's a lot of interesting reading; I'll continue searching the threads
hopefully to find an answer to my problem. Thanks.
