Backup Error 0x81000029

Hi.

I've seen that people having the same problem as I have in Windows Visa
Backup.
This seems to be related to hard disk configuration.
Please visit this link to see a screenshot of my hard disk configuration and
hopefully someone can help me fix this as I can#t run a backup as well.

In my case I think that this is error is related to the way I added a new
partition E:\DATA to the C:\SYSTEM partition and changed the drive lables to
C:\SYSTEM D:\BACKUP.
I was using Acronis Disk Director to apply the changes.
My notebook is an Acer Aspire 9525 with 2x160 GB hard drives 512 MB video
graphics and 2 GB RAM using Windows Vista Ultimate.
Please someone give me a hand to get the backup working again.

........I could manage that the drives are showing up now but when I'm trying
to run a complete PC backup I'm getting a new error 0x80780010 saying the
specified number of volumes is invalid.
Now it's showing the drive where I want save the backup but it's not showing
which drive to backup.
Please someone help me out here.....

Why don't you just use Acronis to put it back the way it is supposed to be
and see if the volume error clears up. If it does, then chase down an
answer at Acronis customer service. I've used Acronis as well (but not with
vista yet) and I've found that once you use this program in conjunction with
a backup program (even one from Acronis) then the result of the backup being
restored can be a bad experience. Not a disaster mind you, but programs
won't work correctly..etc. and you end up having to reinstall the programs.
I'm guessing that Acronis is not quite ready for Vista, IMHO.

.......I said I was using Acronis partition manager not the image backup which
I tried by the way and I have to agree that it is not yet 100% Vista
compatible, about the partition manager I'm not sure yet.
Also I think that this might got something to do with the EISA partition
(hidden).
Does everybody who uses Vista got the EISA or is this something related to
my laptop hard disks?
