Backing up files - harddrive for trsf

I'm trying to transfer my files from one Compaq Presario
to another faster one and can't find any utilities that
will allow me to transfer to CD or floppy. NEED HELP
PLEASE
 
Many ways to do that.

1. Network them together
2. Crossover cable (creates a dedicated 2-computer network.
3. Microsoft messenger using 2 separate messenger accounts, one on each
computer. Use send file function.
4. Others (I'm sure).
