Backing-up Favorites and Address Book

I've been going nuts tyrying to figure out how to backup to a CD my Favorites
and Address Book in MSN. I asked the techs(?) at MSN how to do it and they
said it was not necessary as they were both on MSN's servers and were secure
from loss. Oh Really?? They've already lost my Archives...twice...and I
sure wouldn't want to lose these two important folders.
Anyone have any ideas...clues...tips...or anything?
I'm running XP Home, XP2 on a Dell 4600
I've had a computer for a couple of years but am far from "computer literate."

Yes, I'm aware of that. But is there a way to get them from MSN onto my
computer so I can copy them to a CD?

That's a big issue with MSN, AOL,CS. By storing data on their
servers it's supposed to be more secure. Perhaps the most difficult
job in running a small IT service is converting proprietary data to
standard formats. I've done it for AOL a number of times and it is
a (Royal) PITA trying to convert those Personal File Cabinets.

My suspicion is that they keep your data out of reach to keep you
as a customer.

Best advice is "Google" for export tools or converters for MSN
or post in the MSN newsgroup.

Thanks a lot. I've always thought that MSN may be hanging on to this stuff
for that reason. I'll give google a shot, though I'm a bit reluctant to use
an 'export' tool because I'm not sure what'll happen to my information while
I mess with the computer. I don't understand the 'converter' part of your
post, but I'll see if I can post on an MSN newsgroup.
