If I do a copy of everything under C:\ to a USB hard drive will that suffice
as a source for individually restoring my data in Outlook, Word, Excel,
Money, Pictures etc once I've reloaded the various programs such as Outlook
2003? Or, must I do an individual file "copy" of .pst, .doc., .jpg etc. to
the drive. Another question, does a single .pst file include all personal
Outlook data including personal folders, calendar, contacts (think that's
it?)? Same for .doc?

Thanks,

It depends where you store your .pst, .doc., .jpg etc. files. A full "dump"
of your C:\ drive will also include many GB of installation and Windows
files which are not needed for a data backup and could even not be copied.

For Outlook backing up your pst-file indeed will suffice.

That question doesn't make sense since a doc-file doesn't contain Outlook
information.
