I think I have a problem like Fran's problem, who cannot open the files in a
CD burnt by winXP!!
I am backing once a week my Outlook express, burning a CD with win XP.
When I open Outlook express,in another computer, also with win XP,I cannot
import mensagens directly from the CD.

What is wrong?
Does anyone have solved this kind of problem?
Thanks you in advance for help
Bruno

Hi Bruno,
Do you get any error messages while importing messages? Secondly, you can try this in OE newgroups with detailed description of the problem.

You may try this freeware, OEBackup: http://www.oehelp.com/OEBackup/Default.aspx

Copy the file to a folder on the hard disk. I know that Outlook cannot
open PST files unless they are read/write, and a CD is definitely not
writeable! OE may be the same.

Oh, in addition to copying them to the disk as suggested in my other
posting, you might have to make them R/W (or rather, switch off the
read-only flag.)

Cheers,

Cliff
