background removal

I do not like fancy backgrounds. They do not contribute to the information
but occupy band width. How can I remove a background from a message that was
sent to me with a background stationary thing on my "reply to" message? I am
of course aware of a new message with a copied address option.
This is Outlook in Office 2k3 pro.
 
Reply in Plain Text format. That should remove any sort of bandwidth-hogging
stuff.
