Background image display problem

Hi there,

I am working on a complex site with lots of background images (those are
navi buttons). It workes fine on most browsers. In IE the background
images seem to load twice, after showing the complete page alll
background images disapear for about 1/2 second and apear again fast one
after the other. This is really uggly after doing some page views.

I have found nothing on the net like this, maybe someone has an idea
what this could be and how to fix this problem.

Remove the password protection.
Then we can look at it.

Meantime check your Java setting that may be the cause.
