Background Colors

Our website has a header with our name on the left and a photo image on the
right. The background color is gold and it fades from darker to lighter as
it appears from left to right and then when it gets to the photo image it
fades into the image and disappears so that the image is seen. It looks like
one continuous image. My thing is that I need to change the photo image and
replace it with another on, but I don't know how to keep the background at
the continuous fade as before.
By the way, I am editing someone else's work and handling our web changes
instead of out initial web designer, so I don't know what she did.

Thank You
Crystal

You will need to ask the original designer....

It is most likely done with a gradient created in an image editor, and then saved as a
background image.

You'll need to re-do all the pieces (images) in an image editor and make
them match.

If you post the URL to the website, we can give you more ideas.

Here is the link to out webpage. The top header has words and a picture on
the right, the gold background color is changing as it goes from left to
right and I can't figure out how to change it.

I did attempt to ask the original designer and unfortunately she doesn't
have time. She is a dog groomer by day and a programmer by night so she just
doesn't have time,

And thank you too Steve.

Welp, good news is you don't need to be a programmer OR a dog groomer to
change it. But, it depends on what you want to change. It is ONE image, imo
it's too wide at 928px - viewers at 800 will have to scroll horizontally.

If you want to make it narrower, just take a vertical slice out of it where
there is no gradient, do the opposite if you want it wider.

What exactly do you want to change though? And, which image editor are you
capable of using? You will be doing this outside of FP, not with any of FP's
graphics "tools".

Your cracking me up here Rob...I'm CAPABLE of using Photoshop (haha). SMILE
The photo at the right is the one that needs to change and I will be
changing the photos on some of the other pages that are on those headers as
well.
