Can the default color setting of unused cells be set to anything other than
white?

What I'd like is for any unused cells to be greyed out, so to speak. But I
don't want
the darker color to print. Simular to being in page break preview.

Wayne,

You can change style Normal to have a grey background. Format - Style. Select style Normal
in the Style name box. Click Modify, and go to the Patterns tab and change it to gray. The
gridlines won't show, since they're gray. This will affect only this workbook. In other
workbooks, you can do Format - Style, and merge one that's been changed in. Or you can
change Sheet.xlt, the sheet template.

This grey will print unless you set it to "Black and White" in File - Page setup - Sheet
tab. You can set up a print range that prints only an area of the sheet you want printed.
That's also in File - Page setup - Sheet tab. Any gray cells in that range will print gray
though.

Thanks! :)
