Background Color changes

G

Grady

I am running FrontPage 2003 and WindowsXP Pro with IIS
running and Server Extensions installed. I am hosting
temporarily the webpage on my pc. When I publish to
http://localhost my background color changes from light
yellow to light blue. Very odd! The color remains light
yellow with FrontPage, but is light blue when viewed on
the web. All other things are correct: borders, tables,
etc.

Ideas???? --- and thanks

I should add when I Publish my web, and I am on the page
with the split screen, when I select index.htm to View in
Brosweer from the Local web Site it is yellow. But when I
select index. htm from te right panel, Remote Web Site,
it shows up in blue.

Another late note: tried synchronize feature, but still
have one index.htm in yellow, the other in blue.

Help...thanks

Background color in a page or shared borders
- shared border backgrounds require FP2002 SE
Open your page in IE and view source to see the body tag or styles applied

Thanks so much for replying--
I viewed the source in both FP and IE. Unfortunately I do
not know enough about coding to determine the line(s)
that make the background blue. If someone who knows these
things could be so kind to go to
http://www.gradygroup.com
and let me know which line(s) make the back ground blue
then I can compare this info against the source in FP.

I do have FP Extensions active.

Thanks
Grady

Your Html is incorrect
- did you edit it?
The Themes tag on all pages (html view) is
<meta name="Microsoft Theme" content="capsules 110, capsules 0110">
and should be
<meta name="Microsoft Theme" content="capsules 110, default">

Your theme is controlling the page background color
To change it use Format Theme Modify Colors Custom and save as a new theme name

Thanks, Stefan
I applied new themes and published to site. All is well!

To answer your question, no I did not touch/edit my
themes. I have no idea what happened-- but what seems even
stranger to me is why the change was only on the published
site, not on both published and working FP directory.

One last question: along time ago, I added code to refresh
my webpage every 60 (I think) seconds. This was bad when I
had web pictures rather than I web cam. I would like to
remove this code, but can not rememeber what is it or
where I put it!!!

Ideas??

Thanks again for all your help

It would be a tag in you HEAD section (delete it) something like:
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="X; URL=someplace.com">
