If everyone one would report spammers to the groups when they come across
them, it would have a much better effect. Often one report is tossed off
out of hand but several ... .

I usually LART every spam; I just don't say so. So you can almost always
add me to the tally of reports. In particular, the persistant spammers need
to be reported constantly becuase they move from location to location and
keep getting new accounts when they get booted from one place. So even if
Google were to boot this guy, he'd simply come in from a different IP and
with a different name. So you keep reporting; it costs them time and money,
two things they hate to spend.

In OE, to see the mail Headers, press CTRL-F3. Much of what you can see
will be forged info as a rule, but ... the X lines indicating where to send
complaints is very hard to screw with and usually accurate. Google and
Shaw.ca are the two largest spammers of groups the last several months -
this stuff is spreading and unless folks take control, they can ruin the
usefulness.
