I have been trying to create a back up of my system
before attempting to reinstall xp home edition. I cannot
find the utility anywhere? Is it only available to xp pro
users and if so can anyone tell me how to proceed?

Thank You

If you plan to reinstall XP over the existing system, without having to
reinstall all applications etc, then perform a repair installation.

To create a 'backup' of your personal information, choose to run Files and
Setings Transfer Wizard.

This will create a single file with all your files etc.

Run the repair installation, perform system updates and away you go. You
shouldn't need the FAST file, but it's there as a precaution.

You can get ntbackup.msi here..
