I find I cannot back up to my cd rw drive. I receive an error message from
the back up utility, stating " The back up file name cannot be used. ie.
E\Back up 2005 bkf". I have tried several different names with the same
result.

Windows Backup can't directly back up to CD.. Back it up to the hard drive,
then use CD burning software to get it onto CD..

Your BU software probably doesn`t like spaces in names.
Try something like E_201205.bkf. That says bu of E on the 20/12/05.
See what I mean ?.

Hi Greg,

Upon looking for help with the following error message:

The backup file name could not used.
D:\Backup.bkf
Please ensure it is a valid pathname and that you have sufficient access

I see that you posted one (in the same) here.
Being a novice computer person, I don't quite understand the directions Tom
gave you. Also will ALL my FILES from ALL my PROGRAMS be backed up if I save
them to A drive? Would you mind providing me with step by step directions
for the backup and replying back to me. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanking you in advance,
Miss D
