Back Up Registry

I am working on removing a Sasser worm and part of the instructions that my Antivirus program is telling me to do is to remove a line from the registry. However, prior to doing anything to the registry it is strongly recommended that I back up my registry. Now here is my problem. I cannot find a means to back up anything on my computer. The back up tool is no where to be found and I am at a loss as to how to proceed. My computer is running Windows XP Home Edition and I did not receive the program when purchased. I read the Help section and one of the suggestions was to use Windows 95 Backup........somehow it doesn't seem feasible. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I would proceed. Is there a site where I can download the backup utility so I can continue removing this worm

The backup is built-in to regedit. It's called 'export', under the
'File' menu and is pretty self explanatory.

I use a program called Erunt to backup the Registry. Please read the
Detailed Information file for help on the program's options:
