AWFUL color scheme and layout

JR

This is my first time in office 2007 -- gag me with the colors! How do I
change them and get rid of the royal bluish stuff with the pastel pinks and
oranges?

I was told that this (office 2007) would take some getting used to, but I'm
going to go blind before that happens if I have to look at the colors much
longer!!!!!!!!!!

Have pitty on me!

There are only three choices of color schemes, none are pastel pink and
orange. Click on the Office button and select Options.

Thanks,

You are technically right -- the "Blue" is giving me the pastels and oranges
outside of the Blue areas -- which are too large and distracting and "3D".

Unfortunately the swirl on the screen background (to the left of the page
area) is there to distract you no matter what you choose blue, silver, or
black.

No good choice, just a little less objectionable.

AND it (the color scheme) carries over to the other applications too! Oh
well!

Is there some way to turn off all the fancy distractions?

Why isn't a clean work area good enough?

All show so that you have to look hard for the substance.

Thanks again, I guess I'll eventually get used to the whole "new" (NOT
better) way the applications are layed out.

I have to confess I had not previously noticed the background. You are
obviously not paying enough attention to your work.

I never noticed it either. When I looked I saw I don't have a swirl when I
use black.

How can anyone even get started when nothing is where it used to be and you
need sun glasses to look at the screen?

I think that's an exaggeration, don't need protection..

And when you first begin using a pc program you had to learn something new.

I still insist that I like 2007 and hope it lasts a long time.
