avi to svcd/dvd

have XP 2002 with service pack 1.when I convert a avi to
svcd or dvd there is a small square with 9 smaller squares
inside it floating around screen.I use TMPgenc for avi-
svcd and Moviefactory 2 se for dvd.any idea as to why this
is happening?computer is 4 months old. Using my other
machine that is 19 months old it doesn't happen.

u need to make sure u have all need codec's installed on
that machine. DivX/XviD/MPEG-1/MPEG-2/Etc.
