Avi file video in powerpoint copied to cd

Avi file video plays well in powerpoint presentation saved on computer, but
plays poorly on presentation saved on cd.

Lots of things come into play here. The bottom line is, the CD can't move
data nearly as fast as a hard disk can. What to do about it? Shrink the
avi with better compression (wmv?), or reduce other things (animations)
happening in the presentation. Many times it's better to have a slide with
the video and nothing else.
