Hi, I get the above response when going to the
autotrader.com web site. This appears to be the only
page I have problems with. I have XP Home, IE6, Java
WebStart 1.4.2_03, and the newest VB script. I have
reloaded Office 2003 but not XP. When the autotrader
site loads, I only get the banner and the menu bar but
nothing else. When I click on one of the menu bar items,
I get the above response. Does anyone have any ideas as
to what is going on? Thanks.

Andrew

Andrew,
Sounds like a Firewall issue .........
Do you have a option [example] "script blocking" enabled?
[or]
Several of these are known to cause problems:
1) Zone Alarm Pro [Private Header Info - enabled?]
Reset "Ad Blocking" and "Cookie Control" to "medium"
"Mobile Code Control" = Off

2) Symantec (ISS\NIS)[Enable Browser Privacy - enabled]
Active Content - "Allow All Script To Execute"
Problem: some sites cannot detect the 128 bit encryption
Solution: Completely remove and reinstall NIS.

3) Any "ad blocking" software that blocks "http_referer"
or contains entries that are blocking access to the desired site.

4) HOSTS file that contains entries that are blocking access to the desired
site.
Symptom: Page cannot be displayed / Cannot find server or DNS Error

In the event you can not access a site or missing graphics and
you believe it may be due to an entry in the HOSTS file.

You can use a simple batch file to rename the HOSTS file "on-the-fly".
