autotext font changes

when using autotext as a signature for Outlook emails (word is the editor)
the font in the first line of the signature changes to Times new roman even
though it says it's Arial. Any idea why?

First, I strongly advise against using Word as your email editor. The edior
in Outlook does fine.

If your AutoText entry contains a paragraph mark, as it probably does given
your note about the first line, that entry will contain its own formatting
rules including a style marking. It is likely that the style in the email
template is in Times New Roman even though it may be Arial when saved. You
could try using a line break (Shift-Enter) instead of a paragraph break
(Enter).
