Autorun.ini

How do I make an autorun.ini or autorun file which will open an application
every time the drive is plugged in? the autofile or autorun file is always
searched for and as I plug it into two computers nearly every day, this would
be nice to add to the the HD. Any resouces for this are appreciated.

I know the application I want to run and where its located, so i'm guesing
there is a way to load it in the autorun.ini file...

It's autorun.inf, not .ini. Here are instructions:

Good luck -- I've made plenty of autorun files for CDs, but never one
for an external HD. I just tried it on a Maxtor OneTouch and it didn't
work. I got XP's dialog that asks what you want to do (open Explorer,
run a program, etc.) but the program named in the autorun file didn't
run.

BTW, what the Sam Hill does this have to do with Word document
management?
