autorun feature disabled?

You know how every time you insert a CD, and if you have Windows XP, the OS automatically asks you what to do with it? Play, open folder, etc? Well, mine is not doing it anymore and I don't know why. I looked for a way to reenable it, but all the help I got, was to right click the drive icon, click on properties, and telling the computer what it should do every time I insert certain kinds of CD's (DVD's, MP3's, etc.). However, this doesn't work, since the CD does not autorun every time i put one in. (It works fine once I explore it manually). Can anybody please help? I have already tried restarting, and full shut down. Thanks.

Hi Johnny,

There is a file here that will reset the defaults:
ftp://12.107.147.141/WinXP%20Autorun%20fix/

Simply copy it to your system and double-click it.
