I guess my mind is failing in my old age but for some reason my CD and DVD
drives no longer autorun. I do not remember nor can I find in the help
section how to enable autorun. I have been into the control panel/systems
with no luck. I have accesed each drive in "My Computer"/properties and see
no place in any of the tabs that allow me to enabe or disable Autorun.
Running WinXP home original version. Any help appreciated.

"The AutoRun feature or the AutoPlay feature does not work when you

My Computer > right click the drive > Properties > AutoPlay tab.

And/or install TweakUI:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
TweakUI > My Computer > AutoPlay > "Drives" and "Types".

If this doesn't help, run the "AutoPlay Repair Wizard":
