"How often do you install Windows? Crashes, viruses, or even fixing other
peoples' computers... Most people install their operating system regularly,
whether they want to or not. After a while, you will get sick of going to
Windows Update and continuously downloading patch after patch, update after
update. Well, we have just the thing.

AutoPatcher is a comprehensive collection of patches, addons and registry
tweaks that give you peace of mind in the knowledge that your Windows
system is up to date, even before you connect it to the Internet. It's
designed to quickly patch a system with the most current updates and tweaks
available, and requires no user interaction once you have selected what to
install."

Operating Systems: Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003
x64, Windows XP, Windows XP x64

You can now get MS updates on an official ISO:
http://blogs.technet.com/msrc/archive/2006/01/11/417283.aspx
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913086
and it won't check for authenticity..... :-))
but you don't get the extra goodies that autopatcher has :-((

Does anyone know if one Autopatcher can be slipstreamed into another?

I have the full November one, Decembers update and now Januarys, rather than
have 3 or more separate files or download a full version every month I would
like to be able to slipstream them into one file.

Be informed though that it is a 100meg download, of which
only 1/2meg is for Win2K (which is what I am using)

you get what you get - two xp updates that are not authenticated to the
machine. burn the ISO to hard drive and just use the files you need...
most broadband connections make mincemeat of 100mb.

whatever, it's free!

no need - once the "full" update is installed once, the full Updates after
simply duplicate everything except the recent security and critical
updates. You only need to get the full version once, then get the smaller
"updates" each month thereafter...

afaik anyway...

Hi Azzman,

I've seen Autopatcher around. It looks very cool. I've never tried it
because I use mainly Win9x systems. I don't think Autopatcher supports
those.

Have you ever tried the free version of BigFix?
See my review at http://freewarewiki.pbwiki.com/BigFix

I welcome any comments.

I tried several, including Bigfix and Daisy (win2k and xp):

Don't know exactly why, but Autopatcher 'feels' the best for me, YMMV.
