G´day All,

How do I create a quote number that relates to a an already existing number.
IE The old hand quote numbers might stop at say 1000. At the moment, my
test data base uses an autonumber for the quote number. From flipping
through these newsgroups it seems this isnt the best way of doing it.

Databases are a new thing for me, and am wondering what is the best way to
achieve this?

Check the mvps.org/access website for "custom autonumbers" -- they aren't
actually "autonumbers", but you get the idea. Also check Google.com for the
same, under the MS Access groups.
