Automating an access 2003 macro to run when opening the database.

Can anyone tell me how I can get a access 2003 macro to run automatically
when the database opens? We have to manually run it to see updates in the
database.

Hi Andy,

I am not an expert in access, so just so that I understand correclty. If
the name of my macro is "MakeSolomonCustomer" I should just select rename
and name it autoexec. How will I than know which macro it is? The databse
has about 130 macros each named so that we can tell what they are.

Thanks!

Hi Kristie

To confirm, yes - just rename the macro.

However, you make a good point about not knowing which macro it is.

So, keep the macro name as it should be and create a new blank macro named
autoexec (not a copy of MakeSolomonCustomer).

In this new macro put a single line as...

For the Action put... RunMacro
For Macro Name put... MakeSolomonCustomer
