automatically shut down

How can I set my windows XP that when I do a shut down, my computer shuts
down completely automatically?

Control Panel-> Power Options -> Advanced: "When I press
the power button on my computer" Choose "Shut down."
That will shut down all open programs (make sure you save
data first), Windows, and the computer for you, with the
push of one button.

Note, this depends on if your computer maker set up the
computer to do this. If this option is not available,
you won't see it.

Do you have an old computer? I believe this ability lies in the power
supply; any recent atx power supply should have the ability to turn itself
off upon shutdown. If you do find something that can be configured to allow
automatic powerdown, I'd be interested to know.

What I exactly ment is the following:

My computer maker installed my PC and when I went to the start menu and
choose "shut down" the computer would completely switch off.
Now last week I had a crash and had to re-install my windows XP Home
Edition. When I choose "shut down" a message appears that says "It's now
safe to off your computer" and I have to press the switch off button
myself.

How to fix this back?

My kids have a Pentium II 350MHz
Previously it had win 98 installed , and upon shutdown , didn't
display the message "You can turn off you computer now "
I installed XP home , and when shutting down , I get this message now.
Is there anything I can do about this ?
