Automatically saving event viewer

Does anyone know away of automatically saving event viewer
log files to a .txt or .csv file?

You can schedule a task that runs dumpevt.exe once
every view hours. The tool is available from
http://www.somarsoft.com.

Thanks fot that. Is this a Microsoft approved program as
its going to run an a Domain Controller.

Microsoft have dumpel.exe which is does more or
less the same thing as dumpevt.exe. It has fewer
options but a number of serious flaws. You'll find it
in the Win2000 Resource Kit.

I have used dumpevt.exe for several years with no
problem at all.
