Automatically running several powerpoint shows in sequence

I

Ian King

We have a plasma display in our school foyer and want to run a sequence of
powerpoint shows in a continuous loop. I have tried joining shows together,
but it means changing the background (an imported slide show inherits the
background and master slide objects from the parent show) and is a rather
cumbersome solution. Does anyone have a method of setting this up so that
several shows will run in a looping sequence? (I'm using Powerpoint 2000)

Many thanks

Ian

As an additional comment.

You should make an effort to use a lot of variety in the display images.
I've heard that there is a real burn-in concern from presentations displayed
on Plasma Screens.

Ian,

There is a tutorial on linking together presentations seamlessly here
http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpointlinking.htm

You just need to set each presentation to "auto advance"... and set the
main presentation to "loop until Esc" in the "slideshow > set up menu"

Yep. We mostly sell LCDs now because the problem was so bad. Don't leave
images or logos in the same place on multiple slides. Keep the content
moving to different places on each subsequent slide.
