Hi every1,

I am going on a leave soon and during the same period my account would be
operated by my colleague, but I want to remain in touch with all the incoming
reports and statements. Is there anyway that I have all my incoming official
emails be forwarded to another personal HTML based email account like Hotmail
or Yahoo or Gmail, automatically???

Thanx in advance!

yes, you can make a rule. When an email arrives, send a copy to
(e-mail address removed)

Use the Rules and Alerts function. The exact name and how it works is
version dependant and you forgot to state your version.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

not through simple delegation... you will have to have full access to the
mailbox itself, wich means you will have to open the mailbox as the user
itself to be able to set the out of office for that user.
The exchange administrator can give you full access to the mailbox and you
will have to create an outlook profile using that user's mailbox. If you open
outlook using the user's mailbox, you can set the out of office for him...
We only use this in very very rare occasions at our company here since it
represents a huge privacy issue...

That largely depends on what kind of mail server your account is on. If it's Exchange, ask the administrator (or test yourself) to see whether a forwarding rule will actually work. In many organizations, automatic forwarding to the Internet is blocked. You can also ask the admin about making your external address an "alternate recipient" for mail coming to your company account.

If you don't have Exchange as the mail server, you'll need to see whether the server you have gives you some way of setting up forwarding, perhaps through a web interface. A forwarding rule that you create in Outlook won't help with a POP3/IMAP4 account, because you won't be leaving your office machine running while you're on leave.
