Automatic virus update under Admin only

I have XP Pro and McAfee AV. Automatic virus update seems to download new
definitions but will only install under admin. Since the admin only logs on
every few weeks, AV is not always up to date. Is there any way that I can
allow the updates while logged on as "user"/
