Automatic updates problem & Windows Spyware problem

Hello :)

A few months ago, a friend and computer expert I comissioned to wipe my
laptop and replace WinXP Home With WinXP Pro advised me to not install
Windows Service Pack 2. He didn't elaborate (I wouldn't have understood
anyway), but I took his advice. Please don't try to convince me otherwise, I
won't listen. Now, every time I turn my laptop on, I'm getting a message
from Automatic Updates that says "click here to install these updates" and it
wants to install Windows Service Pack 2. Hoiw do I get it to delete the
Windows Service Pack 2 that it's downloaded and to shutup and quit bugging me?

Also, after every time I run my usual weekly scans with Microsoft
Antispyware, Registry Mechanic, Registry Toolkit, Spybot, AdAware and
Symantec virus, the next time I start my laptop, I get a message from
Microsoft Antispyware asking me if I want to allow or block a browser helper
object. the message does not specify what the browser helper object is. If
I select "block," I get the message every time I start up until I select
"allow." How do I get it to "always block" so it'll quit pestering me?

Take care! Hope to hear from you soon! Wuff!

Dont install sp2:
Unless you have some v.specific software or hardware thats a somewhat odd
statement from a 'computer expert'
MS have stated Registry tools/cleaners have no effect on the performance of
winxp, and can frequently cause sys/app failure if you dont know
specifically what your are deleting
And if you know you would be using regedit
