Automatic update warning

I have automatic updates disabled. I want to keep it that way in an attempt
to salvage as much free memory as possible on my machine. Before SP2 this
was no problem. Now every time I turn on my computer I get a warning message
and an icon in the system tray telling me that automatic updates are
disabled. This totally defeats the purpose of disabling them in the first
place.

Does anyone know how to disable the warning about being disabled? I have
looked around and can't find anything, nor is there an option to "quit" or
"exit" when right clicking on the icon.

Thanks.

Hi

Try this:

Control Panel/Security Center, click on the "Change the Way Security
Center Notifies Me" link in the left pane.

When that warning comes up, on the left there is 'Change the way Sec
Center alerts me'. Click that and set it *not* to advise about Updates
