Automatic update of invoice numbers

I've created an invoice and would like the invoice number to update
automatically each tie I open it just like I've done with the date. Any
ideas?

A simple way would be to use something like this,

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A1").Value = _
Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A1").Value + 1

End Sub
