Automatic start of the next slide after a video clip

Hello!

I hope someone can help me.

I have inserted a video clip (a .wmv file) inside my
PowerPoint presentation. When the video clip have
finished I want the presentation to continue
automatically without any interaction from the user.
Now I have to manually go to the next slide.
But maybe the next slide can be generated automatically
after the ending of the previous video clip?

Please, need some help to find this feature!

Best regards,

Just add an automatic transition to the slide. You'll have to set it for
a second or so longer than your video, though, as PPT doesn't have any
kind of "start this transition upon completion of this [animation]
event" command.

Hi again!

Thanks!

But one problem with this solution is that when the user
stops or pauses the video clip, the transition continues.
But I want the transition to stop when the user hits the
stop or pause button. Maybe there is a command to control
the Windows Media Player?

Thanks again!

In that case, you might want to add an exit animation for the video clip (in
PowerPoint 2002 or 2003 only) so that your video clip is no longer visible
after it has finished playing. Would that help?

Hello,

Sounds like, potentially, several product suggestions here (ability to
trigger slide transition as part of an animation sequence; ability to pause
slide show in middle on animation sequence <including multimedia
animation/playing>, etc.)....

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
