Automatic Send/Receive

In Outlook, my automatic send/receive doesn't work. I've set it for every 1
minute, yet it seems to wait 20 minutes.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Set it to 10 minutes at a minimum.
1 minute polling interval is unrealistic. It puts an unnecessary strain on
mail servers and can create conflicting polling requests that can damage
your Send/Receive Group or even your account settings.

What can you do to fix this---and how do you know for sure the damage has
occured?
Thanks,

find and delete the *.srs file for your profile to fix a damaged
send/receive group. The only way to know it';s damaged is when outlook
crashes if you try to access the S/R group dialog or has problems collecting
mail.

Thanks very much.........working great now. Also for others reading this;
the outlook.srs file is a hidden file.......so be sure and look in hidden
files.

Does the .srs file exsist in an Exchange 2003/Outlook 2003 environment? I
performed a search (including hidden files) and did nto find anything on my
workstation.

Yes. Open Windows Explorer and enter

%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook

in the Address field. Click Go. You should see it. Its file name should
match your mail profile name. You may not see the ".srs" extension if you
have enabled the option to hide known file types (which is enabled by
default).
