Hello,

I am on my first week of using Outlook 2003. I used to use Outlook
Express. I use Spambutcher to filter my mail before it gets into my
Outlook inbox. I therefore keep outlook closed and only open it when
Spambutcher indicates I have received new non spam mail. I then open
Outlook. My question is, do I have to click on "send and receive"
every time I open Outlook? As of now, that is the only way to get my
email into my inbox. I was wondering if there was something somewhere
in options that would force Outlook 2003 to automatically send and
receive mail every time I open it. I have looked around but have
found nothing. Many thanks for your help and sorry for asking a
'newbie question'.

In your Send/Receive settings, make sure you have Outlook set to check mail
at a regular interval, say 10 minutes. This will make Outlook do a check at
startup as well.

Thanks Jocelyn, that was easy :) Now why it doesn't say that anywhere
in the help menu is beyond me. I appreciate your help.
